Being enrolled in Stephen Amsler's martial arts program has been such a blessing to my family. In addition to helping keep my kids physically fit and teaching them self-defense, the program has encouraged by daughter’s self-confidence and taught my son to be disciplined and focused; it has given both of them exactly what they needed to become well-rounded individuals. I especially like how Master Amsler and his staff rewards them with stars and trophies for good behavior, good grades and for other accomplishments outside of the program, encouraging them to be successful in all areas and not just Tae Kwon Do. Both of my kids have made great friendships here and so have I. I recommend this program to everyone with elementary-aged kids and teenagers. I love the kick-boxing too!

My sons are very lucky to have found a master instructor with so much skill and knowledge, as well as a balanced approach to the martial art. The atmosphere is fun, yet disciplined. I have never seen such happy students or a more caring and qualified staff. Your DVDs and curriculum books ensure my sons get all the details. Stephen J. Amsler's Martial Arts center has become a welcome and contributing member of our family. Initially we enrolled our oldest daughter (at the age of almost 5) and she is now a red belt at the age of 7. What she has learned about muscle control and presence of mind and focus has helped her to excel in school as well as other sports. Our youngest daughter, not to be outdone, enrolled at just over 4 and she too is able to do almost anything she attempts as a direct result of her accomplishment at the studio. In an attempt to keep up with my little girls, I have participated in the Pilates and Cardio-kickboxing classes which have helped with my endurance and flexibility. Additionally, it has helped me to better appreciate the abilities of all of the staff and students at the studio! If I define "family" as loving, supportive, encouraging and FUN – then each and every member of the studio staff is definitely a treasured member of the Ruggiero family!
