Taekwondo is a martial art that comes to us from Korea. Literally, "Tae" means "foot" or "to
strike with the feet", "Kwon" means "hand", or "to strike with the hand", "Do" means discipline,
art, or way. Hence Taekwondo means literally "the art of the feet and the hands", or "the art of
kicking and punching".
Stephen J. Amsler's Martial Art Center, Inc. has been educating the community about Taekwondo
and self-defense for over 22 years. We have an excellent program for children of all ages and
abilities. Adults can choose between the traditional training plan or an accelerated program to
achieve their martial art goals.
Our curriculum is presented in both book and dvd form so that our students can train at home as
well as in class. Our classes provide martial art training and a great workout, and reinforce all of
the positive principles that you strive for within your children and yourself: respect, confidence,
discipline, and integrity.
By the way...we're so confident you'll love our program that we won't require you to sign any
tricky, long term contracts. Come in for a free trial lesson, and you'll see why we've been one of
the leading martial art schools in Orange County for over 22 years!
